JOb Profile:
Planning
The Engineering Change Order specialist must be able to review the proposed changes and determine the requirements such as equipment, process, fixtures needed to implement that in production.
He should be able to understand the raw material procurement process and arrange for the new part.
The ECO specialist must be able to visualize the steps in building the product.
Process
The ECO specialist must be able to understand the design changes proposed.
He must be able to structure the bill of material and distinguish between the parent and child parts.
He must be familiar with the assembly process for electronic/electrical products.
He must know the purchasing cycle to get the parts in stock.
Systems
The ECO specialist must be familiar with the ISO procedures for complying with documentation requirements.
The ECO specialist must be able to understand the specification for individual parts.
He must be familiar with the ERP process (Agile/SAP/Oracle/Bann) to know the complete supply chain.
