Job Description
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Develop new products and features, applications, and system bring-up for global users.
• Develop Industrial Internet type solutions on a variety of technologies and Platforms.
• Work closely with the lead architects to design and implement features based on best practices and best in class implementations.
• Write server-side code for web-based applications.
• Write application-side code for SaaS and mobile solutions.
• Deliver high quality software releases per roadmap for consumption by Varian’s product and program teams.
• Work with Varian’s customers, product managers and R&D teams to continuously identify opportunities for improvement of Varian’s enterprise software architecture.
• Ensure organizational compliance to Varian policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Required experiences and abilities:
• Specialization in Java or other open source Web Application stack.
• Experience building and launching multi-tenant SaaS applications.
• Proficiency with at least one or more of the following technologies:
o Java: JavaEE, Java Spring Framework, JBoss
o Frontend: HTML 5, CSS 3, and JavaScript
o Database: DB2, MSSQL
• Strong understanding of the software development process with exposure to agile methodologies such as SCRUM and Kanban.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
