Job Description
Symantec is looking for an Associate IT Quality Assurance - Production Support resource that has enthusiasm for quality and uncompromising commitment to quality improvement in a business critical environment. In this role, you will be part of a Production Support QA team, responsible for reproduction of customer issues, bug verification of code fixes that address customer issues, and ongoing test efforts on maintenance release branches. You will work with other members of the sustain team to surgically test fixes bound for maintenance releases, as well as participate in broader testing efforts intended to verify the quality of the maintenance release under test.
You will have the opportunity to work with both other QA analysts as well as development team members on a wide array of technical issues.
Qualification/Skills:
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science / Engineering or Equivalent
• Up to 2 years’ experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Development field
• Ability to identify Test Scenarios and design Test Cases covering functional, integration and end-to-end testing
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision
• Result oriented and have a high degree of accountability, commitment, and responsibility
• Effective written/oral communication
• Able and willing to work with Business and Project teams in USA, Asia Pacific or Europe including outside of normal working hours
• Able to work and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment
• Must demonstrate good time management skills and be able to prioritize work to successfully meet all deliverables and timeframe
Education
