Job Description
We are looking for a Software QA Engineer to join our team working in a Big Data environment. The QA Engineer will need full knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies. The QA Engineer will work under close supervision and demonstrate multi-tasking skills under tight deadlines and constraints. The QA Engineer will regularly contribute to the testing of work products, the automation of the testing process, and may work with customers to resolve challenges and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
Required:
· Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
· 2-3 years of engineering experience
· Experience testing Java applications
· Proficient with one or more scripting languages (bash, Perl, Python, etc)
· Proficient in Unix/Linux operating systems
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Preferred:
· Experience testing ETL processes
· Experience testing SQL queries and database evolutions
· Experience with Agile methodologies
· Amazon Web Services (Redshift, Elastic MapReduce)
Education
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
